Things are nice. Memories are better. This Christmas, instead of another jumper, give someone a day they’ll talk about for years: learning to thatch a roof, meeting a Warré hive, standing at an anvil or gathering friends around the Boglands campfire.
Every Boglands gift voucher comes in €50, €100, €225, €250 or €500. It’s emailed within 24 hours and valid for five years. Here’s which one to pick for whom.
For the DIY-er and the heritage lover: Roof Thatching Workshop
Hands-on water reed thatching with master thatcher Mike Davies, from a one-day taster to a five-day intensive, plus repair and ridge days for cottage owners. Beginners are welcome, and lunch, gloves and PPE are included. Workshops start in April 2027.
For the nature lover: Natural Beekeeping
A full day at the Boglands apiary learning gentle, treatment-free Warré beekeeping with Irish black bees, in a group of no more than eight. €250 covers a natural beekeeping workshop.
For the maker: Boglands Forge
Fire, hammer and a slower pace. The Boglands Forge is about the experience rather than technical skill, so no experience is needed. Forge dates are still to be announced, which makes a five-year voucher an easy way to give it now.
For the learner: Boglands Academy
Online courses in traditional skills, learned at your own pace on Boglands Academy. The free tasters in thatching and Warré beekeeping are a perfect warm-up for a hands-on workshop.
For the bride-to-be: Hen Party Glamping
Put it towards a hen party under the stars, with the whole private site for 16 to 30 hens, a Glamping Feast, campfire fun and luxury yurts and cabins. See HenPartyGlamping.ie.
For the team: Christmas Party Glamping
A festive thank-you for the team, or the perfect present for the friend who organises everything. It goes towards a Christmas party glamping night away at Boglands. See ChristmasPartyGlamping.ie.
Can’t decide? The Boglands Gift Voucher
The generic Boglands Gift Voucher can be spent on any experience at bog.ie/book: group glamping, thatching, beekeeping or forge workshops. Let them choose.
Good to know
- Add the recipient’s name, who it’s from and a message in the order notes at checkout, and we’ll put them on the voucher.
- Vouchers can be used across more than one booking, and any balance of €1 or more is reissued as a new voucher with the same expiry.
- Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash, except as required by law. You have a 14-day right to cancel, as set out in the voucher terms.
Happy Christmas from all of us at Boglands.
